How We Approach Care
You’ll hear words like evidence-based and individualized in behavioral health care. At Redstone, we want you to know what those words look like in real life.
Evidence-Based Treatment, Explained
When we describe an approach as evidence-based, we mean there is research supporting its use in behavioral health treatment. The National Institute on Drug Abuse emphasizes that addiction treatment should draw from approaches supported by research while factoring in each person’s needs.
At Redstone, this means using proven therapies, both one-on-one and in groups, based on what fits your needs.
Why No Two Treatment Plans Look the Same
A diagnosis is one part of understanding what someone may need from treatment. Symptoms, treatment history, daily functioning, relationships, and available support can all influence treatment planning.
That’s why we start with an assessment at Redstone. We look at what’s affecting your health and daily life, then use that information to guide the therapies, services, and level of support included in your care.
What to Expect When You Contact Redstone
Getting started at Redstone begins with a conversation about what brings you here and what kind of support you need. Our admissions team is prepared to answer your questions, explain the assessment, and explain what the next steps may involve.
We’ll also discuss practical details such as insurance and scheduling before treatment begins. If we need more information to see if our services are the right fit, we’ll explain what’s needed so you know what to expect.

Let Us Handle the Insurance Part
Insurance is one of the most common reasons people put off asking for help, and it is one of the easiest barriers for us to remove. Give our admissions team your information and we will verify your benefits, explain your coverage in plain language, and tell you what to expect before you commit to anything. If you do not have insurance, we will walk you through the options that exist.
Most plans cover more than people expect. We will tell you exactly what yours does, in plain language.
No obligation. Your information is protected and HIPAA compliant.
Treating the Whole Person
Substance use and mental health concerns often show up together, and each can affect your daily life and progress in treatment. When both are present, understanding how they interact can help guide treatment planning.
Addiction and Mental Health, Treated Together
Co-occurring disorders, also known as dual diagnosis, describe the presence of a substance use disorder and a mental health condition at the same time. This may include conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorder alongside alcohol or drug use. At Redstone, our assessment looks at both substance use and mental health when they’re present. This helps our team understand what’s affecting your daily life and guides the care and support we offer.
Our Team and Treatment Philosophy
Care at Redstone is supported by a team with different backgrounds and experience. We work together to keep every part of your care connected as you move forward. Our approach is grounded in dignity and respect. We want you to be involved in your care, know the goals you’re working toward, and have chances to use what you learn in real life. Consistency matters. Building relationships over time helps your care team understand your progress, where challenges remain, and where additional support may be useful.
What Levels of Care Do We Offer?
Redstone Behavioral Healthoffers three levels of outpatient care with different amounts of structure and clinical support. An assessment helps us understand how much structure and support you need, so we can recommend the level of care that makes sense for where you are.
1. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):
2. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):
3. Outpatient Program (OP):
The level of support you receive can change as you make progress or your needs shift during treatment.
