Who We Are

Treated Like a Neighbor, Not a Number

Redstone Behavioral Health is an outpatient treatment center in Bowling Green, serving adults across south central Kentucky who are dealing with substance use, mental health conditions, or both at the same time. We were built by people who already call this community home.

Our team includes licensed therapists, a nurse practitioner, case managers, and admissions staff, and some of us have navigated recovery ourselves. That shapes how we work. We talk with every client on our census, every day. We build treatment plans around a real history and a real schedule, not around a template.

We earn trust the way any good neighbor does: slowly, and by showing up. Your past is not a barrier to entry here, and your place in this community was never something you had to win back.

Insurance and coverage

Let Us Handle the Insurance Part

Insurance is one of the most common reasons people put off asking for help, and it is one of the easiest barriers for us to remove. Give our admissions team your information and we will verify your benefits, explain your coverage in plain language, and tell you what to expect before you commit to anything. If you do not have insurance, we will walk you through the options that exist.

Most plans cover more than people expect. We will tell you exactly what yours does, in plain language.

No obligation. Your information is protected and HIPAA compliant.

What we treat

Care for Substance Use, Mental Health, and Both at Once

Most people who come to us are dealing with more than one thing. Treating a substance use disorder while ignoring the depression, anxiety, or trauma underneath it rarely holds. Our team treats both on the same plan, with the same clinicians, so nothing gets handed off and nothing gets missed.

Addiction

Substance use treated with evidence-based care and without judgment.

Mental Health

Treated on their own, whether or not substance use is part of the picture.

Dual Diagnosis

Co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions, addressed together by one integrated team.

Recognize and reframe the thought patterns driving the behavior.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Skills for regulating emotion, tolerating distress, and handling relationships.

Why Families Across South Central Kentucky Choose Redstone

Built here, not somewhere else

Redstone is not a national chain with a Bowling Green address. It was built by people from this community, for this community.

We know everyone on our census

Our team connects with every client in the program, every day. That is not a policy we wrote down. It is just how a place this size should work.

Barriers removed first

Insurance, scheduling, and driving distance are our problems to solve, not yours. The only decision left to you is whether you are ready.

Substance use and mental health, together

Dual diagnosis care from one integrated team, so you are never treating half the problem.

Joint Commission accredited

The Gold Seal of Approval, an independent standard for safety, quality, and evidence-based practice.

A team with lived experience

Some of our staff have been where you are. Compassion here comes from understanding, not from a script.

Our roots

Recovery Holds Better When a Whole Community Carries It

South central Kentucky runs on closeness. Church potlucks, porch conversations, neighbors who show up without being asked twice. Recovery works the same way. It rarely holds when one person carries it alone, and it holds a lot better when a community carries it together.

That is the idea Redstone was built on. We bring families into treatment through clinically facilitated sessions. We work with referral partners, providers, and local resources so care does not stop at our door. And we keep a place open for anyone who walks in, regardless of where they are starting from.

There is always a place for you at our table.

FAQ

Questions People Usually Ask First

Do you offer detox?

We do not provide medical detox on site. If you need stabilization before outpatient care is safe, our admissions team will tell you honestly and connect you with a trusted detox or inpatient partner, then welcome you back when you are ready for our level of care.

They differ in how many hours a week you are in structured programming. PHP is our most intensive option with full days of clinical work, IOP meets several days a week, and OP is ongoing therapy and medication management that fits around your schedule. Most people step down through the levels as they build stability.

Often, yes. We work with TRICARE, Humana, Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wellpoint, and most major plans. Our admissions team verifies your benefits at no cost and explains exactly what your plan covers before you commit to anything.

For many clients, yes. Our scheduling is built to accommodate work, school, and family responsibilities, particularly at the IOP and OP levels. Tell our admissions team what your week looks like and we will build around it.

Yes. We treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder, whether or not substance use is part of the picture.

You talk with a real member of our admissions team about where you are right now. We check your benefits, answer your questions, and recommend a level of care. There is no obligation and nothing you have to decide on that call.

Yes, and we encourage it. We offer clinically facilitated family sessions for current clients, and families are welcome to be part of the conversation from the very first call.

We do not operate housing ourselves, but we work with a variety of options in the area and our case management team can assist with search and placement.
